LODGING TAX EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2020

Pursuant to a mandate from the Delaware Legislature (HS 1 for HB 67), on August 13, 2019, City Council passed Ordinance #2019-02 adopting a City lodging tax of 3%, effective January 1, 2020 (attached). The City of Seaford's Lodging Tax "piggybacks on the State of Delaware's Public Accommodations Tax. As such, Seaford's Lodging Tax incorporates the State Public Accommodations Tax's definitions and exemptions, as provided in 30 Del. C. § 61.
