The City of Seaford Electric Department will be conducting a planned power outage tomorrow, Thursday, April 23rd, 2026, on Woodlawn Avenue and Atlanta Road at 9:00 a.m.

The City has retained a contractor to inspect selected sewer mains using closed‑circuit television (CCTV) equipment. They will be performing this inspection beginning April 20th through May 20th, Monday – Friday 7am-4pm; work is weather dependent.

Annually, the City of Seaford schedules a Clean-Up Week in order to improve the appearance of the City. This year's Clean-Up Week will be held on May 11th through May 15th.

The Seaford Police Department respectfully requests approval to accept $19,812.00 in grant funding through the FY 2025 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program – Local Solicitation.

Community input will play a vital role in shaping the future of the Jay's Nest Playground. Residents are encouraged to share their feedback through a public survey, which will help guide the design and features of the new playground.

On March 10th, 2026, the Seaford City Council voted to close Jay's Nest Playground due to safety concerns. The City is moving forward with plans to demolish the existing structure and construct a new playground for the community.

The 2026 City of Seaford Municipal Election will be held on Saturday, April 18th, 2026, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, located at 414 High Street, Seaford, DE 19973. Polls will be open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Tull Drive between Atlanta Road and Laura Lane will be temporarily closed starting Monday, March 9th through Wednesday, March 11th from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The safety of our residents—especially our youngest ones—always comes first. After a recent assessment of the community-built playground, we’ve identified several areas that need attention to ensure it remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone. For this reason, portions of the Jay's Nest Playground will be temporarily closed while we evaluate the safest path forward.

The City of Seaford's RV Dumping Station on Nanticoke Avenue will close beginning March 9th for an indefinite period due to the Waste Water Treatment Plant Headworks Project.
