On Friday, July 24^th, the City of Seaford proudly honored Seaford Historian Jim Bowden with a Mayoral Proclamation recognizing his dedication and commitment to preserving the history of Seaford. Mayor Matt MacCoy, members of City Council, City staff, and members of the community gathered at Gateway Park to celebrate Jim and recognize the countless hours he has devoted to documenting and sharing Seaford’s history for generations to come.

In a special show of support, the Town of Georgetown Mayor Angela Townsend also presented Jim with a Mayoral Proclamation. The City of Seaford is grateful for the strong bonds shared with our neighboring communities and for the opportunity to come together to recognize individuals who make a lasting impact.

We thank Jim for his dedication, passion, and service to preserving Seaford’s history. This recognition is truly well deserved.
