City To Apply For 2023 JAG Grant

Public notice is hereby given that the City of Seaford will be submitting an application for funding for the 2023 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) to the U.S. Department of Justice. The JAG program is the primary provider of Federal criminal justice funding for eligible state and local jurisdictions to support a wide range of crime prevention and intervention activities based on local needs and conditions. This solicitation is for a disparate of Sussex County agencies, with recommended allocations of $18,051 to the City of Seaford.
Projected use of funds for the City’s JAG application will be for the purchase of 1 Skydio X2E 5 GHz Drone equip with two cameras and headrest mounted IFAK medical kits to equip each patrol vehicle for the Seaford Police Department. Programmatic and budgetary details will be outlined in the grant application.
